Seidio Innocase Rugged Case and Holster Combo for HTC Droid Incredible
I am a career firefighter and my previous phones have always been encased with Otterbox products. I was waiting for the otterbox product for my HTC incredible…and I waited….and waited. I got so tired of waiting that I researched comparable alternatives and found this little gem of a case ! Love it….fully protects my phone in many ways and the holster has a heavy duty clip that pivots. Impressed and I had always thought that Otterbox were the only people that made rugged cases…boy was I wrong.

I like most others was waiting for Otterbox to come out for a case for this phone. Seeing as how they didn’t seem to consider a case for the Incredible a priority, I started searching for something similar. This case was it, by far surpassing my expectations. Almost the entirety of the phone is covered. The only thing that is regularly exposed is the optical joystick, however when you keep it in the holster, this is also protected. The screen protector that comes with the case covers the whole touchscreen, and leaves, as I said, only the optical joystick and the red speaker uncovered. The touchscreen sensitivity did not diminish at all. There is a hard plastic case that covers that back of the phone, then you put a rubber layer, followed by another plastic exoskeleton. The rubber cover has flaps that cover the usb connection, the headphone jack and the camera lens and flash. I felt before I put this case on, that the phone felt way too delicate and was too thin and small for my hands. This case beefed up the phone so that I can actually get a grip on it, yet it’s still slim enough to throw in a pocket if you wanted to. Another feature that is great, is that since the case is multi layered, if you did want the minimal amount of protection, you could only put on the hard plastic case (the base layer) and the phone is still protected pretty well, yet the phone is still slim enough that it wouldn’t bulge in a pair of slacks or a suit. The holster is also great. It has an active spring loaded retention clip on the top, to securely hold the phone. A great feature about the holster: it locks! If you were walking somewhere you knew you couldn’t recover the phone if it fell (on or around the water) or if you are in a tightly packed area with lots of people (a bar, sporting event), you can lock the spring loaded clip, which, while not hard to do yourself, would, in my opinion make it difficult for someone to steal your phone (unless you’re completely oblivious, or they steal the holster and all).
As great as the case is, there are a few flaws. Since the rubber covers the camera lens/usb port/headphone jack, to access them you obviously have to open them. Unfortunately, I know I always have a hard time trying to open rubber openings. The rubber is flush around the cuts (not notched, or overlayed) for the camera lens, there is a rubber nipple that I guess someone with long nails could grab, but I can’t grab with mine. The only other complaint is the location of the spring loaded clip on the top of the holster. I guess to make it possible to have headphones plugged into the jack, and have the phone in the holster, the clip covers the “Power” button, unless you hold the clip up when you put the phone into the holster, I’ve had the screen turn back on (after puttting the screen in the “sleep” or “locked” mode).
All said though, for a case that does so much, to only have 2 complaints, is amazing. The case is great, protects the phone, feels good in my hands, doesn’t slide when put on a smooth surface, provides great protection and is reasonably priced for a case that does so many things.

I have always owned otterbox cases for my phones but after waiting and waiting for otterbox to create a case for the Incredible I realized that otterbox was putting the iPhone 4 first in production even thought the Incredible was out before the iPhone 4 so I decided to give the Seidio Rugged Case a try. All I can say is WOW, this is a great case that will really protect your phone. I’m no longer a die hard fan of otterbox. Thanks Seidio!!

Received this case today and I must say that, if you are considering purchasing a case and belt clip for an HTC Incredible, you can’t go wrong here! This case is exactly as described on the web page. Very sturdy and securely holds the phone with it’s spring-loaded clip. I work in construction and now I am not worried about damaging my Incredible. This case offers all the protection you need. The camera lense cover is a bit difficult to grab to open and pin back, but I’m sure it would help if I had finger nails! It may seem like a lot of money to spend on a phone case (got mine for a little more than $37.00), but it’s well worth it! Great job Seido!

This product has great versatility with the inner and outer cases. The inner case is great for every day use and makes the phone more tactile for big hands. The outer case and skeleton protect the phone in rough conditions such as mtn. biking or hiking. The case is not waterproof but does a good job of sheilding the phone on nasty days. I did break the belt clip on the holster. Contacted Seidio and they are exchanging that piece (180 day warranty. I wish the clip was made of stronger material or offered a pass through belt loop for better durability.
