I decided to purchase this headset based on several sites with good user reviews. After wearing the headset for 10 days or so, I had to return it. It was by far the worst headset I have ever used. I use a bluetooth headset all day long as I am driving most of the of the day. In the past I have had a Jabra, Nokia, Plantronics and Blue Ant. The Blue Ant was by far the best headset, it just has a little design flaw that after a month or so the earhook becomes loose and the earpiece starts to fall out of one's ear.

As for the Plantronics Discovery 975:

Pro - the charging case and sleek look

Cons - The parties on the other end always had an echo.
- The lack of an earhook option, I thought I could live with just the in the ear piece, but it fell out too often no matter which size gel I used. I preferred the mid-size one, but it muffled the voices to much on my end to hear anyone properly.
- Last, it says it is a multipoint device, but I never could get it to pair with both of the phones I use. If I connected it to my Blackberry Storm first, it would not connect to my Palm Centro. If I connected to the Palm Centro first, the Blackberry Storm would cancel out the Palm as soon as I connected it. I missed quite a few calls on my Palm phone while driving due to not being able to answer on my headset.

I ended up replacing it with a Motorola H790. I was skeptical about Motorola headsets for years as they rarely have gotten good reviews, but H790 has good user reviews and I believe Motorola has finally nailed it on making a quality headset with great noise cancelling. The H790 is by far a more superior headset to the Plantronics Discovery 975 and is substantially less expensive.

I'm loving this bluetooth headset. The sound quality is really great on both ends. I love how it reduces the background noise & the heavy breathing. It was very easy for me to find the right size earpiece cover (you get a choice of 3) to fit my ear. I wish it had a hook to go behind the ear but it's not too bad because it's not real uncomfortable like some of the similar headsets that I've tried in the past. The charging case is an excellent addition to this headset. It's very convenient & easy to use. I would highly recommend this bluetooth headset.

it works just ok..... but only if you inside house, office, car.....if outside and it's a little bit windy, it's so annoying static to the other party who is talking/listening to you.

The rubber cover, so called 'stabilizer' for headset is useless, but there is nothing else. It pains me to wear it. Because without their 'stabilizer' it will fall off my ear.
You can not charge it in the car by default (another one of those proprietary plug ins). when bought, it was not offered as different option or it doesn't mention it that you can not charge it in your car.

It's stupid that these manufacturers think we are just gone fill our cars and homes with all kind of stupid adapters and wires.

IT COST WAY WAY TOO MUCH..... for this kind of quality and this whole package (it does not include car adapter). In California we are mainly buying it for car.

It's time these products, get real reviews.

I have tried for a long time to wear this Bluetooth and it will not stay in my ear for any length of time. I have tried to use the different ear pieces and it still will not stay in my ear. What a waste of money.

Bought this as a gift for my step mother. Bought it for $79.99 with free overnight shipping through Fed Ex. Didnt buy it on here though. You`d probably like to know where. Too bad I`m not going to say. My gf just bought one too. It`s pretty awesome. Enjoy paying more. Only here on Amazon.com.
