I bought this because I thought it would charge 2 phones at once, but that is not it’s function. The pins in the second branch are different, and will not charge a phone.

I have a Motorola phone W755, Motorola bluetooth headset H700 & Motorola bluetooth speaker T305 so I bought 2 of these, one for home & one for the car. It works great! I can charge my phone & headset at home and phone & speaker in the car. I’m getting 2 more, one for the office and one to stay in the suitcase for traveling.

Used to have to charge my phone first and then charge my bluetooth later. Now I can charge both at once and I’m never going back. The male ends are “labeled” so you know which one is for the phone and which is for the bluetooth. This Y-adapter, along with a Doubletalk mini USB dual (car / wall) charger makes it painless to charge anywhere while on the go.

This seems like a fine “Y” connector and I very much like the concept but I bought it to use with my new Blackberry Tour 9630 smartphone and learned that there is a difference between the “mini-USB” connector (what this “Y” connector is) and the “micro-USB” connector (what I needed for my Blackberry). So I am simply back here to post to save others the problem that I had. In other words, this “Y” connector will not directly work with my Blackberry and bluetooth headset (both micro-USB connections) which is why I purchased it.
By the way, I found an adaptor for the mini-USB to the micro-USB here on Amazon “MINI USB charger to Micro USB Charger Converter” which I haven’t ordered or used but I have yet to find a “Y” connector with micro-USB connections all around.

I used this split mini usb cable to charge two Blackberry Curve at the same time without any problems. It is an OEM motorola charger cable.
