I had a number of phones in the past, but I needed one smartphone that can synchronize with outlook, has a touch screen and a bluetooth. Incite has them all but I have one problem. The phone turns off by itself and I cannot start it unless I disconnect the Battery first. Does anybody has any ideas of how to resolve the problem?

Great organizer, and visually pleasing. That's all this phone has going for it, in my opinion. The Wi-Fi didn't work (on two different Incites), the phone wouldn't synchronize with my PC (on two different Incites), you have to use a stylus for anything you do with this phone (they include one which they expect you to "tether" to the outside corner), you can't change the ringtones for different individual callers or texts, and if you have a problem, this phone is so new that no one at AT

UPDATE JANUARY 2009: After the experience with my third LG product, the Incite, guess that things have not been great for either LG or ATT with this device since its price was reduced to $118. Well, after the Incite I have been testing some other phones including the Verizon's Blackberry Storm.
The Storm is a good device but the screen keyboard proved to be erratic and cumbersome having to change from Qwerty to Symbols and to Numbers keyboard. Also, at least here in Seattle, the Internet was extremely slow. I was told that a firmware update will come soon but did not.
Then I tried the Samsung Omnia from VZN also. It proved to be an average device with all the limitations that Windows Mobile has (as the Incite) and not customizable as other Samsung phones.
By mid December I tried the ATT's Blackberry Bold and found it a great device, especially for its keyboard and the screen is second to none. My only complaints on the Bold are that contacts cannot be copied into the SIM card and there is some illogical placement of fonts/symbols on the keyboard such as the @, the period (.) and the Numbers (next to the ALT). Entering the numbers 4 and 7 is extremely difficult because their proximity to the ALT key. Nevertheless, the Blackberries e-mail system is unparalleled and plan to keep it as my second phone, mostly because of it's not advertised but amazing multimedia capabilities. And just three days ago received the Nokia E71, which is being tested for a week or so.
Thus, if you are not aware, when you buy a cell phone from a Carrier, you have between two to four weeks to try it. If you are not satisfied with it, can be returned although the company will charge you a restocking fee of about $25.00. As well, consider buying an unlocked phone and you will not be stuck with a two year contract. These work mostly for ATT, T-Mobile and just saw some for the Sprint network.
As for Sony's expensive Xperia ($800 or so), looks like still having problems because all places that sell them have backorders.

POSTED LAST YEAR: I had been waiting almost three months for ATT to get the Samsung Omnia. Last week learned that was given to VZN and being an ATT customer for more than a decade, decided on trying the LG Incite. The unit comes with the controversial Win Mobile 6.1. After three days of use, decided on returning it. Main problems were: Battery did not last more than six hours in standby mode [even with the Bluetooth off]. The unit never synchronized with either of my computers. Neither LG or ATT have firmware or software support to update either [phone or computer]. The keyboards are too small [hard to type even with the stylus] and the accelerometer did not turned the screen the proper way. The connectivity and the speakerphone were great but if I just wanted these two features, will go with an inexpensive phone. Already tested the B-Berry's Storm which was surprisingly slow. Waiting for the Omnia or the Xperia.

was going to buy this instead of Samsung Eternity, but after playing around with it at the ATT store I found many flaws compared to Eternity.

what I look for on phone personally:

Cons: Touchs Screen took me 3 or 4 times, videos and pics arent that good, very small screen

pros: calls aren't bad, a lot more features, wifi, qwerty.

April 1, 2009: My eternity is gone!!! long story, but I need a different phone and thinking of buying this! what a irony!

Twitter22 got me sold in many ways: " Did you know your Vista or XP backwards and forwards after 2 days? 2weeks? No."
Very funny.

Anyway, since Iphone is insanely expensive and no other phone that comes close, I humbly spend 9 bucks to get this. Yes knuckleheads 9 bucks!!!
for 9bucks i get all the crazy applications which by the way why it's slow. What I'm really looking for is mp3, wifi, camera, windows media. I would have gotten eternity again if it has wifi, windows media and the sd location is not complicated. I might have a problem resetting it by taking the battery out twice a day as others professed, but we'll see. i'm late in a game and hopefully lg have corrected it.
9 bucks though...come on man who can pass 9 dollars for a "smart" phone?!?! That's like one meal at burger king and extra large fries! I guess "dumb" people!
I'll keep you phone geeks posted on my experience once I get it!

5/5/09: like it so far. the wifi was crazy to figure out, but got the help from att guy and it's working like a charm. Main problem so far: very slow. I'm still trying to figure out the rest. the pics don't scroll...sucks! again got it for 9 bucks for upgrade!

I purchased the phone and returned it within 7 days. I was frustrated at the lack of features. Don't waste your money - the phone's a waste of time.
