These ear gel type were definitely more comfortable but the sound level is significantly less than the original and at times made it difficult to hear conversations even with the volume turned up full. I am constantly using my headphones during the day and I seem to break many pairs at the gym. I've only had them for a couple days but I can't complain. I mean for $7 these are awesome. I bought two sets, this one and another brand. Calls made thru this microphone are clearer than the 'other' brand but the earphones do not sound as good - lacking bass and fullness. They would be perfect for making calls but my main purpose was listening to music on my phone and they are lacking for that purpose. The earbuds are comfortable and stay in place while moving around. Decided to go back to wired solutions, looked around and came across this one.

And even better, I can hear everyone even with the top down :-)
